| General objectives of the program | ||||
| The central goal of the Programme is to '' good researchers in Logic, and especially in the areas of expertise of the logicians in the University of Barcelona, that is, in Algebraic logic, Model theory, Non-classical logics and Set theory. It is also possible to do research in the areas of Philosophy of logic and of mathematics. In order to attain its goals, the Master in Pure and Applied Logic provides students the basic foundations needed to undertake any research in Logic. The research period, through the work towards a doctoral dissertation, provides the candidates the experience and the mastering of the techniques that make a student a researcher in the field. |

| La Comisión de Estudios podrá admitir estudiantes procedentes de másteres universitarios que no hayan cursado el periodo de formación. Para ello, se valorará que los contenidos de los estudios superados sean afines o de ámbitos relacionados, y que el estudiante tenga interés por llevar a cabo su investigación en una de las líneas ofertadas en el doctorado. Valoración de méritos: currículo y expediente académico de las titulaciones cursadas. |
