Applicants may request official recognition of previously-completed studies for a maximum total of 30 credits, and of professional experience in the field of Women's Studies when such experience has involved a period of at least three years of professional practice. Recognition of any previous studies and training will depend upon how closely these are related to the subject matter of the master's degree. All applications must be addressed to the Program Coordinator, who will then issue a report to be approved, if necessary, by the master's degree Coordination Committee. Other admission requirements  There are no further admission requirements.    SKILL PROFILE Specific skills profile  - To study the history of women, the principle positions and trends in gender and sexuality theory. - To examine the evolution in paradigms of feminist thought and the origins of such thought, and to apply theoretical models to discourse analysis in the literature; to prepare proposals and plans in the area of institutional equal opportunities and rights to address the problems of gender inequality. Learning outcomes to be achieved in the degree Pathway "Women, Work and Public Policy" ("Dones, treball i polítiques públiques"): - to analyse the interaction between women and educational practice, health and labour economy and public policy - to make use of gender issues to apply a cross-disciplinary approach to business projects and to gain experience in such approaches in everyday tasks and activities in the administration of work and in social contexts Learning outcomes to be achieved in the degree Pathway "Theory, Critique and Culture: Gender Perspectives" ("Teoria, crítica i cultura.
