Formative objectives To provide detailed scientific training in Women's Studies and Gender Studies and to ensure that such training can be applied to national questions and issues of social interest, and to the specific objective of professional training: the preparation of agents of equality.

| ACCESS REQUIREMENTS |
Admission requirements - Official degree Given that applicants will not have been able to complete previous academic courses in Women's Studies and the fact that such studies are not offered in Catalan and Spanish universities at the present time, successful applicants will have to study all the credits in this master degree (a total of 120), which will not include any train-up modules.
Applicants may request official recognition of previously-completed studies for a maximum total of 30 credits, and of professional experience in the field of Women's Studies when such experience has involved a period of at least three years of professional practice.
Recognition of any previous studies and training will depend upon how closely these are related to the subject matter of the master's degree. All applications must be addressed to the Program Coordinator, who will then issue a report to be approved, if necessary, by the master's degree Coordination Committee. Other admission requirements There are no further admission requirements.

| SKILL PROFILE |
Specific skills profile - To study the history of women, the principle positions and trends in gender and sexuality theory.
- To examine the evolution in paradigms of feminist thought and the origins of such thought, and to apply theoretical models to discourse analysis in the literature; to prepare proposals and plans in the area of institutional equal opportunities and rights to address the problems of gender inequality.
Learning outcomes to be achieved in the degree Pathway "Women, Work and Public Policy" ("Dones, treball i polítiques públiques"):
- to analyse the interaction between women and educational practice, health and labour economy and public policy
- to make use of gender issues to apply a cross-disciplinary approach to business projects and to gain experience in such approaches in everyday tasks and activities in the administration of work and in social contexts
Learning outcomes to be achieved in the degree Pathway "Theory, Critique and Culture: Gender Perspectives" ("Teoria, crítica i cultura. Perspectives de gènere"):
- to study innovations in the ideological principles and representations of gender and sexuality in scientific discourse, educational practice, ethical-political practice, the mass media
- to acquire creative skills in the resolution of complex issues in the study of culture and current affairs and to be able to provide original contributions in advanced research and/or professional practice Cross skills profile - To acquire interdisciplinary skills in various professional contexts.
- To critically evaluate aspects of personal performance and to be able to defend proposals in teamwork and make creative and original contributions in different professional areas.
- To make a commitment to ethical professional practice in the defence of equal opportunities and to examine issues involved in intercultural mediation ' especially those issues involving women collectives ' in order to design and conduct a project on gender politics.
