PREINSCRIPCIÓ MÀSTER LINGÜÍSTICA APLICADA I ADQUISICIÓ DE LLENGÜES EN TEXTOS MULTILINGÜES de l¿ 1 al 15 de setembre de 2008. Resolució: 30 de setembre de 2008 TEXT EN CATALÀ I EN ESPANYOL / TEXTO EN CATALÁN Y EN ESPAÑOL DOCUMENTACIÓ (català) Tots els preinscrits al màster hauran de lliurar la següent documentació, . Còpia compulsada del títol o diploma dels estudis d¿accés. . Còpia compulsada de la certificació acadèmica de les assignatures cursades ¿ Si a més, el títol està expedit per una institució d'educació superior de l'espai europeu d'educació superior (EEES), haurà d¿acreditar-se que permet l'accés als ensenyaments de màster oficial al país al país on pertany dita institució . Còpia del DNI/passaport . Currículum Vitae . Carta d¿expressió d¿interès . Acreditació de coneixement de l¿anglès . Posteriorment, hi haurà una entrevista personal amb el candidat. La documentació s¿haurà de lliurar, o enviar per correu, a la Secretaria de la Facultat de Filologia (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, 08007-BARCELONA) fins al dia 15 de setembre de 2008 (de 10 a 13.30h de dilluns a divendres, a la planta baixa de l¿edifici històric, a la banda de Lletres). No es valoraran les sol¿licituds de preinscripció que no lliurin la documentació dintre del termini indicat. Els alumnes que sol¿licitin l¿accés al màster amb un títol d¿educació superior estranger obtingut fora de l¿espai europeu d¿educació superior caldrà que tramitin prèviament a la matrícula l¿autorització de la UB, presentant la sol¿licitud a la Secretaria de Filologia. Podran obtenir informació sobre la forma de fer aquesta tramitació i sobre el màster en general a la pàgina http://www.ub.edu/filologia/postgrau/matr_pop.htm DOCUMENTACIÓN (español) Todos los preinscritos deberán entregar la siguiente documentación . Copia compulsada del título o diploma de los estudios de acceso, si es el caso . Copia compulsada de la certificación académica de las asignaturas cursadas . Además, si el título está expedido por una institución de educación superior del espacio europeo de educación superior (EEES), tendrá que acreditarse que permite el acceso a las enseñanzas de máster oficial en el país al que pertenece dicha institución. . Copia del DNI/pasaporte . Currículum Vitae . Carta de expresión de interés . Acreditación de conocimiento del inglés. Posteriormente, habrá una entrevista personal con el candidato. La documentación se deberá entregar en la Secretaría de la Facultat de Filologia (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, 08007-BARCELONA) hasta el día 15 de septiembre de 2008 (de 10 a 13.30h de lunes a viernes, en la planta baja del edificio histórico, en el lado de Letras). También podrá enviarse por correo. No se valorarán las solicitudes que no entreguen la documentación en el plazo indicado. Los alumnos que soliciten acceso al máster con un título de educación superior extranjero obtenido fuera del espacio europeu de educación superior (EEES) deberán obtener previamente a la matrícula la autorización de la UB, presentando la solicitud en la Secretaria de Filología. Students with degrees in Philology or related field of study such as linguistics, psychology, translation and interpreting, pedagogy, teaching or other equivalent qualifications.
Principles of linguistic theory in the 'levelling module' will be compulsory for students coming from degrees without a specialization in linguistic contents (i.e. students from teaching departments). Psychopedagogical principles in the 'levelling module' will be compulsory for students with a degree that are not in the area of psychology and pedagogy (i.e. students from Philology who have not followed any courses on teaching and second language acquisition). The Coordinating Committee will decide on who has to take this levelling module in the light of the student's previous training. |

Have an English level that allows the student to read academic texts and understand courses taught in English.

| Selection criteria |
|
− Preference will be given to students with knowledge about linguistics or psycholinguistics although all university graduates that fulfil the legal requirements can register in the programme.
− Priority is based on: (1) the academic record, (2) related working experience (3) other academic merits. - The expression of interest in the letter submitted to the Commission when applying for the programme. |

Knowledge
1. Knowledge of the basic areas of the applied linguistics. 2. Amplification of knowledge of the several fields of the applied linguistics according to the student's interests. 3. Language acquisition main concepts, processes theories and perspectives comprehension. 4. Awareness of the several learning contexts, particularly the formal classroom context in bilingual/multilingual communities. 5. Knowledge of current educational methodologies and their effect in language acquisition. 6. Appreciation of the relationship between the research and the practice in the language teaching scope. 7. Basic knowledge of applied statistics. Abilities and skills 8. Ability to detect and solve real problems related to the language, particularly to a second language acquisition. 9. Ability to critically understand and evaluate empirical studies of the applied linguistics scope. 10. Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods. 11. Ability to carry out several proceedings of data gathering and analysis. 12. Ability to use specific software of research in applied linguistics. 13. Ability to carry out a tutelary empirical investigation paper in the scope of applied linguistics. |
