Aims

The Masters in psychosocial intervention takes an integrated approach to research and the specialist areas within the profession. The Masters seeks to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to apply the psychosocial tools that contribute to improving the individual's health, quality of life and social well-being in a range of different environments, that enhance the relationship between people and their personal context and social system of reference, and that promote the dynamics of social change so as to improve the living conditions of people, groups and communities.

Admission/selection criteria and evaluation of applicant's academic and other merits

Graduates in any discipline may be admitted, though they may be required to take a number of foundation courses depending on their previous training. Having evaluated individual academic records, the Masters Coordinating Committee will inform those students who do not have the necessary training which foundation courses (no more than 24 ECTS credits) they will have to take. Students can study these courses either before beginning the masters or in parallel with the Masters program. These foundation courses will be chosen from the subjects offered on the undergraduate degree in psychology.
