In the field of involvement in the public space (urban design , public art):
- To promote reflexive learning by means of project problem-solving strategies
- To stimulate the development of innovative and creative solutions
- To develop the critical thinking and knowledge of the ideas, concepts and theories linked with the urban design
- To develop the necessary cross-cultural sensibility
- To develop an ethical attitude

The experience we got with the doctorate program and in the M.A. in Design Urbano, has shown us the convenience of open the acces of this M.A. to all the qualifications . It is obvious that one of the first conditions in order to generate "interdisciplinarity" depends on the structure of the working groups, that is to say they need to be "mix" coming people from diverse disciplinary areas .

Nevertheless the same experience indicates to us that the preferential qualifications of access should beFien Arts, Architecture, Landscaping, Design and the diverse ones that we can identify in the area of the Human and Social Sciences.

Given the diversity of profiles of this qualifications the M.A. is programmed with the necessary leveling elements to allow the revenue to the graduates in Plastic Arts and design or their international equivalent.

1. - Academic odegree in the scales that the MEC marks to be able to concur to the scholarships of formation for MA and research
2.- Knowledge of art and urbanism demonstrated through academic qualifications, although they are of complementary type or free election
3. - Presentation of a motivated letter of intent on the interest on the máster by the student

The board of the master will name a selection committee that will evaluate the entries according to the following criteria that try to be the most objective possible

1. To be in possession of the B.A. degree or international equivalent during the period of pre-inscription
2. To be in possession of a higher education diploma during the period of pre-inscription
3. Evaluation of the academic process with reference to the institution origin of the same one
4. Professional previous experience in public institutions, companies, centres of research or liberal activity
5. Real possibilities of dedication without the access be a motive of discrimination due to the work
6. Specific computer skills:
6.1. Be able to use the following software in the area of the treatment of image Photoshop or equivalently, Systems of presentation, AutoCAD or equivalently; 3Dstudio or equivalent
6.2. Be able to use the following software in the area of the management, treatment and publishing information: Word processor; Datasheets; Databases; Project simulators; presentation Publishers
7.-Specific language knowledge.
7.1. - A text of intentions has to be presented written in Spanish and English
7.2. Certificate of the level of knowledge of languages

Against the decisions of the committee of selection it will be possible to appeal in the way and form in effect in the administrative procedure

Knowledge and compression of

- The fundamental topics of the area of the urban design, including designing the public space, their legibility and their capacity to generate processes of local identity
- The history of the art, architecture and urban design with special reference to the next context
- The theoretical main positions about public space especially in the context of the post-industrial city
- About the role of turban design and public art in the processes of Urban Regeneration
- The implication of concepts like sustainability, accessibility, design for all, civic participation and governanza
- The fundamental aspects of the legislation and of the policies on public space
- The ethical aspects of the role of urban designer's in connection with other professionals and with the society
- The emergent and constant changes of the uses and practices of public space in relation to the changing scenario of the globalization, especially regarding the cross-culturality
- The perceptions, identities and cultural needs of the cohesive communities
