Aims
This Masters in the analysis of water draws on the knowledge and skills of many disciplines, and the objectives it sets itself reflect this multidisciplinary approach. The program is designed to train the future professionals of water management but also to initiate students in the skills required to undertake their own research in this field.
The Masters is aimed at graduates who wish to acquire a fully, integrated and cross-disciplinary training in water management studies. Students should have the necessary academic background to develop a good general knowledge of the issues involved in water management in the first instance and then to specialise in specific aspects of the field.
The program aims:
1) To provide a cross-disciplinary education in the various fields related to water and to endow the future professionals of water management with good critical skills.
2) To provide specific training in key areas of water management - areas for which there is currently a great demand for qualified professionals. The University of Barcelona can offer outstanding training in this field as it can call on its great tradition for teaching and conducting research as well as the very close links it has established with Catalonia's water authorities and water industry.
