RECOMMENDED APPLICANT PROFILES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Professionals with a university degree in health sciences or social intervention, including doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, social educators, pharmacists and teachers.
- Other graduates, subject to evaluation of specific merits.
- A limited number of applicants without university qualifications may be accepted. In this case, they will receive a university extension certificate.

ADMISSION FOR APPLICANTS NOT HOLDING A DEGREE QUALIFICATION:

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

- To acquire a broad, multidisciplinary understanding of drug consumption and addiction. A basic homogeneous training is complimented with a following in-depth analysis of more specific subjects, which are chosen according to the professional and personal interests of the students.
- Acquire the specialized knowledge required to work in the field of drug addiction, particularly in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, and the planning and implementation of prevention and harm reduction programmes.
