Postgraduate students or professionals interested in infectious or communicable diseases in the context of international and global health.

ADMISSION FOR APPLICANTS NOT HOLDING A DEGREE QUALIFICATION:

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

- To acquire a broad base of knowledge in infectious diseases, with a particular interest in clinical care in low- and middle-income countries.
- To place special emphasis on aetiology, the identification of clinical aspects and the use of diagnostic techniques and case management.
- To know the infectious diseases that cause the highest disease burden worldwide or that represent outstanding challenges for the global health community.
