| Undergraduates (who will be entitled to 3 free-choice credits), interns or researchers in departments responsible for computer-related tasks. In general terms, anyone who wishes to gain an introduction to the field or extend their existing knowledge. Prospective students should have user-level knowledge of Linux and an understanding of computer networks. Candidates do not need to have taken the basic course in Security. Students will be required to complete an on-line test prior to enrolment to assess their level of knowledge. |

| Students will work alongside experts in an environment of continual improvement to develop a new understanding of security based on open and free code, designed to make programs faster, more stable and, above all, more secure. |
